This site is a job well done. It does justice to Dali's work. I had the opportunity to visit Dali's museum in his hometown of Cadaques, Spain. It was awsome but incomplete. I certainly need to come down to St. Petersburg to see the rest of his work.

I am currently preparing a course on Dante's Inferno and the Visual Arts, 1850-present, for the January Term at Middlebury College. I am seeking sites to link to the course's website, which will be on-line in January of 1998. Your site is a rich source for students wishing to get a stronger idea of Dalě's painting in the period he produced the illustrations to the Divine Comedy. Your site has high visual quality. I look forward eagerly to a visit to your museum, hopefully in the Fall. Thank you for this advance look into your collection. Sincerely, Pat Zupan, Professor of Italian

I am a teacher in Lake City, Florida. We are looking for museum partnerships. We are one of the six Florida schools that have received $200,000.00 grant from Getty and Anenburg to develop an arts centered curriculum for an elementary school. We would love to have the Dali Museum become one of our museum partners. When our school goes online we will use the internet to do research as well as the students. We're looking first at Florida Museum that we can take field trips to. Your Museum is about 4 hours from Lake City, which is located at the intersection of I 75 and I 10 in North Florida. If you are interesed in becoming a museum partner please E-mail me via Firn Mail the Florida Educators Network. We look forward to hearing from you. My school is Eastside Elementary School, 904-755-8220. My home number is 904-752-9970. I've really enjoyed my tour through your museum.

I very much enjoy Dali's works. Although some of them seem to be demented, they are all forms of art. I have a print of one of his paintings hanging on my wall....I believe it is Critical Town, or something like that.

I never thought of myself as being a Dali fan until I visited the museum a couple of weeks ago. Dali to me was some kind of halucinatory freak who was a tad bit ecentric. When I followed the tour around the museum I became enraptured by his genius and ended up spending money on two prints and a book. The only problem I have is that I used to live down the road from the museum and never went. Keep up the good work. Keith Auld P.S. Do you have a catalogue of Dali merchandice you can send out?

A few too many creative layers before one can get to the collection. The museum is important, but I had to view this site on a rush and I will need to come back later to look at the works. Nicely put together, but a shortcut here and there might be helpful.

I miss the mueseum being in Beachwood. I visited the mueseum in Beachwood when I was in high school. It left me with a great appreciate for art and especially the works of Dali. I work in Beachwood now and it would have been so convenient to stop in over lunch, especially of those days when things are a little rough at the office and I need to escape. However, I have friends in the St. Petersburg area and although I don't get down there much, I plan to make it a point to stop in when I'm there. Nice to see you on the web. Florian Paul

Greetings all! Viva Dali! He is indeed an inspiration. In case anybody's interested, I am considering creating and publishing a Surrealist newsletter dealing with the movement's history, presence, and future. Breton, Dali, Magritte, Masson, Toyen, Ernst, Delvaux, Tanguy, the list goes on and on, will all be featured artists to look foward to learning about. In this publication, artists, poets, philosophers, teachers, anybody, can share their works and words with other "surrealists". As of now, it's only an idea. However, if I get enough interested people to respond supportively, I will begin work on Secret Surrealist Society vol.1 iss.1 immediately. Let me know what you think. An exit door.

Me and my wife visited the museum last year when we were in Florida after seeing the Early Years exhibition in London two years previously. The walls in ouur house are graced with around 40 Dali prints of various sizes. I have just one question which has been puzzling me since my visit. Your guide said that Dali's brother died only 11 months or so before Dali was born and yet in the book (which I bought at the Museum) "The secret life of Salvador Dali" Dali himself says that it was seven years before his birth. Why is there a discrepancy? Surely Dali could not be mistaken? I would be grateful if you could clear this one up for me.

I love Dali. Obviously my school doesn't since I wore a shirt of Geopoliticus Child Watching a the Birth of a new Man. My teachers, friends, counselor and principle thought it was a so called "obscene drawing."I tried to explain that it is art and I have a right to wear it. But they did not agree. I hate my school for that. I love the muesum I go there every time I go to Florida about every summer. I have some of his paintings I bought there on my wall and I also got my shirt there. I love Dali's perfume and think he is the best artist.

There is not much that I can say other than thank you. I have just retuned from St. Petersburg Fla. I was there for about a week and like many tourists, I spent to much time in the sun. It was a great pleasure to be able to spend a few hours in doors and to see some of my favorite paintings. I have used Dali's work for inspiration from the time when I first saw a print of A Child Watching The Birth Of The New Man. I was so pleased to be able to see the original. I have looked for his work in my area but I have only been able find two. One painting was on loan to a museum in Richmond Va. and the other was hidden in the stairwell in a museum in Washington D.C. Seeing so much of his work in one area left me with a smile that I still have. Once again, thank you. James Digges

I VISITED THE MUSEUM OCT,1996. I WAS A VERY INTERESTING EXPERINCE AND I WAS GLAD FOR THE EXPOSURE. IT CLEARED UP A LOT OF UNCERTAINTIES ABOUT THE ARTIST.

I looked up this web sight, because I was trying to find things for my friends and I to do while we were in Florida for Spring Break. I just wanted to mention how happy I was to see that you offered Student Rates, because my friends and I are on a tight budget we are really looking forward to seeing the collection in person.
