My wife and I visited the Dali Museum on Dec 31, 1996, along with members of the University of Michigan Alumni group. We were especially interested in the large painting of the Torredor and the principle of "perception." I think I will use that image in my writing classes to illustrate the idea that individual perceptions are vastly different, and we as writers need to be aware of that principle. Thanks for the pleasing tour.

You have a wonderful selection of Dali works. However, I am looking for one particular image that I've not been able find. The only time I saw it was for a report I did back in senior high. I really want to see "Madonna and Child" again. Does anyone have a clue where I might see an image. If it is as spectacular as I remember, I'd be interested in buying a print. Thanks!

I had a wonderful time at the museum on October 12, 1996. I was visiting with the Valencia Community College's honors program. Continue to reach out with group participation from Florida's community colleges. It was culturally re- warding to have learned about the brilliant Spanish sur- realist Salvador Dali incomparable works and his unique personality. St. Petersburg is really blessed to have such a world class museum. With some of the culturally problems that St. Peterburg has recently faced, it would be good for the museum's administration to take an proactive part in healing racial wounds. Children from the inner-city need to be exposed to the art world, because art transcend all racially divide. Salvador Dali through his masterpieces often was concerned with the poor and misfortunate. I would be willing to sponsor one hundred children from the St. Petersburg area to visit the museum if the museum administra- tion take a public, active part in promoting racially harmony. I can be reached at 1-800-484-8309, security code 6000, or 407-293-0199. Thank you very much for your fine Dali exhibition and time. Yours truly, Ezell Harris

I teach a course on Spanish Surrealism with special emphasis on Dali-Lorca-Bunuel. Your Museum is my primary source for educational materials. This is the first time I connected with your web page. I will use in the future. Thank you for allowing me (or us: my students and me) to view your wonderful collection. I've been to the museum several times and I just can't get enough of it ! The scale of some of the paintings is overwhelming compared to tiny works like "The Persistence of Memory" at the MOMA. The best of all is the "Hallucinogenic Toreador."What a collection ! If only I had just one...
