I'm here to see if I can find a painting with melting watches with some tangerine and other brilliant colors. It is not "Persistence of Memory" and I'm guessing that it was done by Dali, but not sure. Anyway, I'll just browse.

Salvador Dali is simply outrageous! He's awesome! And so is your page! I can't wait until I come to the museum. I found out today that one of my friends (who is an artist) has met him in NYC in early '70s. I was in awe! Is there any place in California or in NYC or in Paris where I can find his works? What is the best book to read about this great person? I would love to hear from everyone who loves his art the way I do.

Dali has always fascinated me. His talent was as great as any master of painting. His peculiar way of seeing things causes viewers complex emotions. One day I may visit your gallery in USA. Let me know if you know of any interest in your area to market my own paintings. I'd be pleased to hear from any gallery, shop, or agent.

I like his work and your site very much. However, I really know very little about it. I was wondering if you could give me any approximation of value on a limited edition print number 319 of 395 done in 1977 titled "the Dinners of Gala - Les Chairs Monarchiques". It is framed and in excellent condition. Signed by the artist and there is a smaller drawing under the print itself. I'm not sure if that is an addition on this print or if it is part of every print he did of this piece. Any response would be appriciated.

As A first time buyer of Dali, I was overwhelmed by his art and vision. I ended up buying 4 (1 inferno,1 purgatory and 2 paradise) of the prints from Dante's Divine Comedy. Your site was informative, but would like to see better quality scanning. I look forward to visiting the museum in early '99. It was interesting to see some of his other work. Thank You

An interesting site. It's great to be able to view the collections. I'm a big Dali fan and have been for thirty years. It's most enjoyable to be able sit in my office and to see the Grasshopper Child (to whom I have great affinity) and the Ghost of Vermeer that can also be used as a table (more affinity). My only real criticism is that you have way to much outside sponsor messages in your website. Who cares about Tampa and Florida Real Estate when viewing the subliminal world of Dali ? You really need to drop that, especially on the scanned paintings. Do I care who scanned them ? Of course not. Otherwise good job.

I was very pleased to travel through your museum, but I would enjoyed your biography better if you had added more information, actualy I don't know if you are aware of the relationship betwen Dalí and Edward James.Edward James brought Dali to Magritte for the very first time and is also a very important person in Dali's career.when dali foght Lorca their mutual friend Lord Edward James became closer to Dali and is at this moment when boath traveld together to France to meet with Magritte. At that point Man Ray had taken picturs of James wich later where used for magritte in the paintig of the man wathing his back refected in a mirror, wich is also a very important influence in Dalis paintings done ten years later to be shown in New York.

I am a big Dali fan and am dissappointed to see the St. Pete Museum site. I am writing just to give my constructive critisism as an artist and web designer. Basically the design of your pages is lacking. They are are not pretty. The scanned images for the Dali Museum are of poor quality. I would ashamed to put "Scan by Webcoast" at the top of every one of them, as annoying as that is. That's like putting "click here" on every link! Well duh! We know someone scanned them, and who cares who. To display artwork for a freaking museum you should want it to be clear. Buy a book or something about how to do webdesign and webgraphics, and find someone that knows how to use photoshop for godsake. I am not commenting on the content yet, I haven't read it all. But the first thing that caught my eye is the poor quality graphics. I am sorry to be so harsh but I love Dali and I want to see hi-res clear images on a visually pleasing site. You fail to make the mark. -Joey Fisher

"An amazing collection of some of Dali's finest work..."I commend you for build a fine collection of work that displays Dali's genius. As an idea: You may want to add links to other museum websites to broaden the array of Dali's work that can be accessed from this site.

There are no words to adequately describe Dali's works. Fantastic, unbelieveable, intense, and wondrous are a few that do come to mind though.

His work is one-of-a-kind, and very addictive. More people around the world should see his work, and appreciate the imaginative quality of it.

I will be sure to see the Museum when in Florida again, too bad it left Cleveland (helluva shorter drive). Dali was the most talented painter I have ever seen
