Portodogue and Mount Pani from Ayuntamiento

Impressionism is again the dominant technique used in this painting, but this work also shows two other important developments in Dali's retinue. First, he has started to include important landmarks from his homeland in his paintings on an ongoing basis. The mountain shown in this painting is Mt. Pani, the same subject of another work of the young Dali, Cadaques /w the Shadow of Mt. Pani.
