The Man with the Head of Blue Hortensais
(1936)
Oil on canvas
6 3/8 x 8 5/8 inches

By the time Dali created this work, had fully come into his own as a masterful artist. Showing the Catalonian landscape in the background, this work is also one of the earlies examples of Dali using double imagery. The man seated to the right of the work has a head made of blue flowers, and the figure appears to have it's head either bowed, or straight up, depending on how one looks at it.
